I have several shallow wide metal bowls ( very inexpensive at Asian shops) that I use for coating veggies with oil. I find it both easier & quicker, wastes less oil, and easy to clean up. I just rinse the bowl with hot soapy water & set it on top of the stove to dry while the oven is baking.
